The emotional wounds of childhood and the consequences in adult life

No period of life is more intense, wonderful, and at the same time vulnerable than our childhood.

The first experiences we have at this age will not only mark forever the path our life will take, but also the vision we ourselves will have of it.

Everything that happens to us during this period can have consequences for our future. Trauma or abandonment are just some of the emotional wounds that can affect us during childhood, and which can then affect us in adulthood.

The bond we establish with our loved ones, especially with our parents who guide us, care for us and protect us, will become the pillar of our development, in order to grow safely and independently.

It is the parents’ task to protect their children. On the other hand, as adults, it is necessary to deal with these unresolved childhood issues in order to move forward with ease.

If we don’t deal with emotional trauma, that wound will remain there forever.

Even if we are still children, and therefore not yet able to defend ourselves or to understand why a struggle exists, we will have to digest that situation, with all its difficulties.
